Brewing Unit

The cleaning of the brewing unit or head is necessary to ensure the filters and the internal block is clean and is free of any coffee that has been sucked into the heads.
A build-up of coffee can effect the flow of water to the coffee and more importantly, the old coffee build-up can cause the fresh water running through it to pick up a bitter and burnt taste.

It it therefore necessary to perform these functions on a daily bases

  1. Take the double coffee handle, place inside the small black rubber(blind filter) & insert 1/4 teaspoon of coffee cleaning detergent on top of black rubber.
  2. Attach coffee handle to machine (as if making coffee), wait 3 seconds then switch off unit. Repeat this fuction 3 times.
  3. Perform the above functions for all brewing heads (1,2 or 3).
  4. Rinse out the unit.
  5. Repeat the above functions but with NO DETERGENT.
